Alpine Plants

  • We stock a good selection of Alpine or Rock Garden Plants.
  • Alpine plants are typically very hardy perennial plants and can cope with a wide range of temperatures and climates.  They will live very happily in poor soils containing very little nutrients, and cope admirably in strong winds.
  • Because of their adaptability and toughness, alpines can survive in areas of the garden where other plants will fail.
  • Alpines are extremely versatile and can be a pleasant addition to any rock garden or flower bed. Excellent to grow in small crevices, cracks or between rocks. They require little space and can grow well in close proximity to each other.
  • Alpines tend to have a compact habit, some with beautiful small delicate flowers, while others have elegant evergreen foliage.
  • Grow in well drained, preferably slightly acidic soil in full sun.
  • Price £1.45 each (9cm pot) or 10 for £13.00.
